Yoshihito Oike

Yoshihito is one of Japan’s most experienced and astute specialists in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and turnarounds. He is a recognised leader in the technology, property, utilities and energy sectors, as well as in the retail and consumer sectors.

Prior to his current role, he was Managing Director of Global Banking at Citigroup Ltd (formerly Nikko Citigroup Ltd). Before joining Nikko Citigroup Ltd, he held various roles in investment banking, including senior positions at Calyon Securities (Credit Agricole Investment Bank) and Goldman Sachs. Prior to entering investment banking, Yoshi spent 18 years as a partner in the audit and business advisory practice at PriceWaterhouse Coopers, including eight years with the firm in the United States.

He holds a degree in Economics from Yokohama National University and MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the JICPA (Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and the California Board of Accountancy (US CPA).

He is fully bilingual in English and Japanese.
