At You are Capital. we are very proud to have advised the Sesderma Group, a world leader in scientific dermocosmetics and liposomal technology, in the sale of 50% of the capital related to the dermocosmetic business to JB Capital, an independent investment services company founded by Javier Botín.
The transaction, which values the Sesderma Group at approximately €200 million, has included an injection of €40 million in new capital to drive growth and the refinancing of the Group’s debt through a long-term flexible capital solution provided by pan-European asset manager Kartesia which has also acquired a minority stake in the capital.
Founded in 1989 by renowned dermatologist Dr. Gabriel Serrano Sanmiguel, Grupo Sesderma, through its Sesderma, Mediderma Professional Care and Dermopartners divisions, develops dermatological solutions for health and beauty marketed in more than 90 countries. The Group closed the 2025 financial year with revenues of €140 million.
Under the impetus of its new strategic partner, Grupo Sesderma will launch an ambitious long-term industrial plan, attracting the best professionals in the sector, expanding the range of products, reinforcing the brand and improving service in the pharmaceutical channel.
